The path to the shelf

Every cosmetic product follows the same regulatory path before it can be sold in the EU. We manage it with your team, step by step.

  1. Formula selection

A formula is selected from approved bases and adapted to your brief and price point.

  2. Stability and compatibility

The formula is tested for stability and for compatibility with the chosen packaging.

  3. Safety assessment

A qualified safety assessor prepares the cosmetic product safety report (CPSR).

  4. Product information file

The PIF is compiled and the product is notified on the CPNP portal by the EU responsible person.

  5. Label and INCI

Label texts, INCI list, warnings and claims are checked before the artwork is approved.

Claims and packaging

Drugstore buyers look closely at what is written on the pack and what the pack is made of.

Claims
Claims such as dermatologically tested or vegan are used only with supporting test reports or certification, following the common criteria of Regulation (EU) 655/2013.
Natural origin
Natural origin content can be calculated according to ISO 16128.
Packaging
Options include recycled (PCR) plastics, mono-material tubes and refill formats, subject to compatibility testing.
Microplastics
Formulas are checked against the synthetic polymer microparticle restriction of Regulation (EU) 2023/2055.
